NASCAR: Skinner Takes the Truck Race in Martinsville

Skinnin' them alive

And he did it in dominating fashion, leading all but seven laps to win his third race in a row.  Todd Bodine finished second, followed by Rick Crawford, Kevin Harvick & Ted Musgrave. For awhile it looked like Harvick would be Skinner’s only real competition, but a late-race tangle three-wide with Gaughn put Happy in the wall just enough to keep him back at the end.  Skinner thanked Bodine in VL, saying that he’d remember Todd racin’ him clean and would return the favor. I had to laugh … as many times as those two have gone at it in the past, including the time they wrecked each other out on the final lap, today’s race was like watching their alter egos.  (Maybe the nice-fest was because Bodine has the flu and felt lucky just to finish at all, lol …)

In any event, nice to see Skinner kickin’ tail again.
