Raikkonen talks up Ferrari's French chances

Formula 1 drivers can be delicate people at times and many of them insist any air-conditioning is turned off before the start of the FIA press conferences in the Media Centre. On Thursday afternoon, as Kimi Raikkonen joined other drivers at Magny-Cours, it was a case of turning the heating on, as temperatures here are more winter like than summer.

Could the cooler temperatures here affect tyre performance? “I don’t know what the forecast is for the weekend,” said [Kimi] Raikkonen. [Really, truly, you idiots ... do I have time to give a shit about Weather Channel? I'll be racin' ANYway, so what's the point?] “But [since you're all apparently forcing me to give a shit] as we are all on the same tyres, it should not have a significant effect. But, if the weather is mixed on Sunday, then it should make for a very interesting race!” [There -- take that! If you'll just nod and say 'thank you' now, maybe I'll be able to either get back to my life or my ride -- don't really care which, but you people just bore the freakin' crap out me with your moronic questions ... sigh ...]

For the moment, this is supposed to be the last time Magny-Cours hosts a grand prix and Raikkonen had mixed [HA] feelings about this. “I have to say it is a nice track to drive and race on, but it is also true that there is nothing to do in this part of France. I guess a lot depends on whether we go somewhere better or not.” [Kimi-speak: 'hey -- I don't give a hoot cuz' my jet's already on a direct taxi to outa' here until you maybe build some nightlife or sled-races into your community -- are we at the right latitude for any of that, or what? Hell -- who cares -- let's simply get this race over with before I fall asleep again, oui?"]

Ok, lol … so I’ve held my tongue for what feels like a really long time now … from when Raikkonen just about fell asleep while leading the race in Melbourne … to … well … yaaaawwwwwwwnnn — uh — oh, sorry — what was I saying?

Oh, yeah … I firmly believe that it might not really matter that the weather’s so much cooler in France this weekend than where F1’s been lately, and/or even if it’s changed too much from even today until during the race, because it’s just possible that, if it doesn’t change from what it is now to what it will be then, then perhaps nothing else will change about the tyres; but, then again, if the weather abruptly changes and the tyres change their attachment to the surface because of that, then no doubt all racers will be affected by it, so, really … yaaaawwwwnnnnn — uh — did you hear that?

Are they starting already??

HEY!!! Wait for Kimi!!!!!!!

[For God's sake, dude ... just climb in the freakin' car and push whatever fourteen buttons mean "go fast", ok? I so very truly don't care any more than you do about what you say to idiot reporters -- just drive. Just ... drive. But ... faster this time.]
