The guy is having a dream season. The one most people love to hate. he won the Cup Light race on Friday night. He started from the pole for the cup race because qualifying was cancelled by weather.
For most of the night, he was in his own zip code. Grumpy might tell you more, but did not see much of the race because of the coma induced sleep caused by yet another wide, 1.5 mile boulevard track.
There was a late race duel where Jimmie Johnson took the lead. Then a caution occured with just a few laps to go. The JGR Toyota was right on the #48’s bumper as they came to the green. The #18 then powered by and never was challenged as he took the checkers.
“He timed it just right and rolled up on me,” Johnson said. “When I heard the spotter say. ‘Looking!’ I knew I was in trouble.
“I didn’t make the best decision there on the restart. I should have given him the inside. I really wasn’t thinking defense, we had such a good car. Looking back if I had to do it all over again I would have played defense more.
“The bright side is we showed we could beat that 18 car. We were pulling away until that caution.”
If I have the count right, that makes the 7th victory in the cup series. Wins in the Cup Light and NCTS series bring his trophy total to 14 for the ‘08 season so far.
This is a dream season, man,” Busch said. “I just cannot believe this.”
Well stated Kyle, there are many who say the same thing.

Muu-ahh-ha-ha! His ’scope changes for the worst around Sept.
My question is: where is all the weeping and anger? Last year at this time, Hendrick Teams were killin’ everybody and the howls could be heard in the grandstands.
I guess the fans just do give a s*%#!
