Darlin’ … I’ve had a hard time keeping my mind on anything to do with racin’ while I know you’ve been going through so much lately … so … before I can wrap my mind around the Chase or much else to do with goin’ fast, COT or no COT … I need to offer you something that, quite literally, brought me “back” after I lost my father:
Godspeed, my friend … I hope that this somehow offers you the same amount of comfort and hope to just keep keepin’ on, no matter how much it hurts, that it did for me when I needed it most – and, man, did I need it “most” back then. It might seem just like another “song” to some – maybe even to you – but, to me? It’s far more than that, because those words, that year … they were my Dad’s, telling me to get back TO it. Bono was a great conduit, granted, grin … but those words, those thoughts, those sentiments? That was Dad’s voice, to me … just as it turns out that it’s been for many others who “don’t want to let go”.
NOW … I’ll try to get my head back into racin’ while you do what you do, too – and, always … the way YOU do it, darlin’ – the BEST! Will always be proud to know you, merely for the fact that you soldier on a lot faster than I do, even when I’m only feeling an empathic sort of grief. Catch ya’ back here soon, then, with somethin’ RACE-worthy!

For us men, there is little time to grieve. It is not in our DNA perhaps. The best thing to do is simply move on. Keep moving forward. There is still a job search to work on.
Yesterday was to be a day of rest and contemplation. Instead, I was at Sandy’s garage most of the day. So much to do. Moving forward just like your mantra, STSSIA.
