Nelson Piquet Sr is threatening to take Flavio Briatore to court in order to prevent his son from continuing to pay the disgraced former Renault team principal 20 per cent of his earnings.

I don’t care if GOD “Himself/HERself” ordered me to crash my car. Unless I had a REAL damned amazing insurance policy for my son that said, EXPLICITLY, “hey, it’s ok if you screw yourself up beyond repair {ON PURPOSE} for your son, we’ll still pay him mega-freakin’-bucks,” SORRY … NOT HAPPENIN’.

Not even “F1″ is THAT badass of a reason to fly hard into … anything.

Kevin’s opinion of Edwards ‘hanging out in the back of the field’ during the bulk of the race had a little extra opinion added to it. Edwards took the blame for his untimely bump of the #16 in the corner that triggered a multicar crash that crippled the chances of several chase contenders, including Harvick.

When cousin Carl heard about Harvick’s remarks, he put pen in hand and wrote a note to Harvick which he left in Harvick’s plane before leaving Talladega. The contents of the note were not released, but Harvick made photo copies of it to post around the garage at Charlotte for everyone to see on Thursday.  An angry Edwards caught up with Kevin Harvick in the cup light garage prior to practice. All that was said is not known as Harvick and Edwards refused comment later. At least one photographer was in the area and captured the exchange on film.

The smackdown did not last long as Harvick’s team members seperated the two until order could be restored. Both were invited to NA$CAR’s oval office for a chat with Mike Helton, Robin Pemberton and John Darby. The purpose of the meeting was to insure that the incident did not carry over to an on track encounter during the Charlotte event.  

Boys will be boys…….

HOWEVER … SOME of a LOT is about to change around anglerred, and SOON! Just thought you should know … or, be surprised! Either/or, as it’s happening anyway!

But … let’s give our loyal anglerred readers the FIRST hint first, ok, Grump?

Part of that is ALLLL about what angler’ll be doin’ on Sunday during race-time, thanks to reacquainting myself with a fairly local “establishment” I’ll no doubt be posting far more about soon – provided its venerated owner doesn’t boot me out this weekend, of course!  (Hey – it could happen … ya’ never know, grin, though since he’s not a JJ fan, I think I’ll be safe!)  Then again … being the only TRULY NASCAR-HEAVY such establishment in quite so MUCH of such a wide area here, AND the proud owner of a VERY distinctive infield bus you’ve ALL seen either on SPEED by now, or even in my own former ad work for MIS?  I’m thinkin’ that he and I will get along pretty damned well enough to give you lots more inside info next week, lol …

SO!  If there’s any doubt about what I’ll be DOIN’ during race-time THIS upcoming Cup race?  Please allow me to dispel that mystery by givin’ you a REAL good hint before the POST-race posts come to ya’ later, then, grin:
